For fans and pump motors in the project, ordinary high-voltage three-phase asynchronous motors fall into two categories: squirrel cage AC asynchronous motors and cascade AC asynchronous motors. Speed regulation is performed by control motors of speed regulation devices stead of both motors themselves. Motor speed regulation is to control the mechanic power of motors, and the Rotating Speed of motors is proportional to mechanical power. Two principles are available to change mechanic power: one is electromagnetic power control, and the other is loss power control. Electromagnetic power controls ideal no-load speed, and the speed regulation is featured by the highest degree of energy saving. Loss power controls increases rotation speed reduction, and the speed regulation is featured by low efficiency power consumption. Speed regulati on has the same principle but with different methods. Technical performance is similar. Nowadays high-voltage variable frequency speed regulation is the one of the best ways for electromagnetic power control, and appl ies to various types of electric motors but without specific requirements on motors. Both the design of new systems and reform of old systems convert the power supply into the power supply with continuously adjustable frequency and voltage. The multi-level technology enables multiple second winding that is output to isolation transformers to supply power for all power units. Series overlay of multiple IGBT power units contributes to high voltage output of perfect harmony, and stepless speed regulation of motors, featured by high reliability, strong stability, simple structure, structural durability, and easy maintenance.
